Schools are data rich and sometimes information poor.....now an interactive workshop to help de-mystify some of the challenges facing schools in coming to grips with data. This workshop will address such issues and concerns as
What is two or three levels of pupil progress ?
How does Average Point Scores work ?
Should we share the assessment criteria with pupils ?
What are sub levels ?
How can I judge progress of pupils in lessons ?
How does OfSTED judge attainment ?
Can we use our own pupil progress data more effectively ?
What governors should know ?
This will be a 'blended' workshop session using both national data as well as other information in the public domain alongside the data from your school. There will be a range of interesting, fun and informative activities to both challenge and stimulate people. This workshop is not inted for the 'oficionados' of data crunching and number crunchers. It will be focused on those that want a down to earth, common sense approach to looking at how to make data more useful in their teaching.
