David Willet
Areas of specialism: was the former interim Headteacher at Warwick School for Boys in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Previously, he was the Senior Deputy Headteacher involved in overseeing developments at both KS3 and KS4. These include Curriculum Development, Performance Management, Co-ordinating and delivering professional development activities for a group of local schools. His work includes National Training in Coaching for the NCSL ‘Leading from the Middle’ course. David is instrumental in organising and applying tried and tested approaches to raise achievement of boys in the school.Jim Kidd
Areas of specialism: A history graduate with a master’s degree in Education, Jim is a published author of works on Comparative Education and GNVQ Leisure & Tourism. Jim is a former Head of history and politics, Head of Year, Deputy Headteacher and acting Headteacher, with over 25 years experience in teaching. More recently he has been manager of a Community Learning Centre. He has now established his own freelance educational consultancy and works as an Ofsted Inspector. He also works in an advisory capacity, specialising in team building and motivation for serving teachers and senior management teams in schools.David Crowe
Areas of specialism: David Crowe is in his second headship, and is cuurently the Headteacher of a comprehensive school, a large, heavily over-subscribed 11-18 school in South East Essex. He has been involved in working with students and newly qualified teachers for many years and has run courses in classroom management and effective learning environments for a number of educational providers. He is an Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia on the DMS/NVQ and MSc courses in Education Management.Eve Bearne
Areas of specialism: Eve Bearne is Assistant Director in Research at Homerton College, Cambridge. After working for twenty years in schools and colleges, she became project officer for the National Writing Project, then moved into teacher education. She has written and edited many books about literacy, language and learning across the curriculum. Marking Progress in English is used extensively on teacher development programmes and Use of Language Across the Secondary Curriculum is recommended by QCA. . She is currently consultant for several research projects.Diane Shepherd
Areas of specialism: Diane Shepherd is an education consultant who is an experienced OFSTED inspector for Modern Foreign Languages. She has taught for twenty-five years running an MFL department, then, as senior teacher, looking at wider aspects of school management. She currently conducts OFSTED MFL inspections, is an expert on curriculum management and works as an LEA Associate Adviser.Paul Burton
Areas of specialism: Paul Burton is currently Senior Adviser wth VT Education and Skills in Waltham Forest , a former Registered Ofsted Inspector (RGI), an Assessors of Advanced Skills Teachers and also a SIP Manager .He has extensive experience working with a wide range of schools and personnel spanning over two decades within teaching, advisory, inspection and school development services across five LEAs and three large private companies. He has worked with schools in Europe and overseas. Paul has run INSET courses and developed unique materials on Classroom Observations, School Self-Evaluation and Senior and Middle Management Training.Phil Barker
Areas of specialism: Phil Barker had a senior position at special school in Bradford, where he is head of personal and social education and positive behaviour management. Currently Philip is working on special school developments in France .He has worked in special education for the past 22 years developing P.S.E for the 11-19 age range, and has experienced a diverse range of pupils with special educational needs and challenging behaviours. Phil also works in an advisory capacity supporting colleagues in mainstream education facilitating training courses in behaviour management and supportive P.S.E programme design. His outreach work also included participating as a member of the Bradford Schools anti-bullying working party and with the South Bradford Education Action Zone developing P.S.E/citizenship programmes and resources.Chris Husbands and Vicki Pite
Areas of specialism: Chris Husbands is currently Professor of Education at the University of Warwick. He taught in urban comprehensive schools in London, Norwich and Hertfordshire before moving into teacher education. He has been a consultant to the TTA and an adviser to OFSTED on inspection methodologies. His publications include studies of school collaboration, performance management and comparative work on schools in England and Germany. Vicki Pite has wide experience in a range of education environments. 15 Years in secondary schools were followed by a further 10 years as an LEA inspector specialising in school self-evaluation, assessment, data analysis and target setting. Currently Vicki is freelance. She acts as a consultant to a number of LEAs and schools in London and works for OFSTED as an Additional Inspector (Curriculum) and NAEIAC as a trainer.Stephen Chamberlain
Areas of specialism: Stephen Chamberlain is currently a Headteacher at a large County High School in Essex. He was also a Project Manager for an Education Action Zone and is Director of the DfEE Summer School for Gifted and Able Students in KS2/3 for EAZ. Stephen has extensive experience as an Associate Adviser for the Essex Advisory and Inspection Service and is a member of the LEA steering group on Gifted and Talented pupils.
